Not to be forgotten are the wide array of guards that accompany this Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 team.

Battery Life

A key component of the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 is it’s battery life. With a powerful lithium-ion battery that requires 2 to 3 hours of charge time for a superior 5 hours of cordless use, we really love the limited down time with this trimmer. In addition, it also has a 5 minute quick charge feature, which is good for the length of one cordless cut. Moreover, the fact that you can use the MG7750/49 model plugged in for continuous use, gives this Multigroom 7000 great versatility.  Of further note, the Multigroom 7000 includes a charger light, which shows when it’s connected to an outlet and then changes color as it’s charged.

Blade Quality

What can we say? With high quality, self-sharpening blades and Philips Norelco’s commitment that the Multigroom 7000’s blades will be as sharp in 5 years as they are on Day 1, what’s not to love? We admire that type of statement and commitment to trimmer blade quality by its manufacturer.

How does the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 compare to the Multigroom 3000 and Wahl Lithium Ion Plus?

Everyone is always asking, what is the difference between the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 and Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000.

Well, in this product review video, we brought in the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 to compare it to the Multigroom 7000 and give you a close up look at these devices side-by-side.

Be sure to check out the video to listen to the detailed comparison and find out which Multigroom trimmer is the best fit for you!

Philips Norelco MG3750 Multigroom All-In-One Series 3000, 13 attachment trimmer

Of note, both are quality Philips Norelco devices, but the 7000 packs more for the punch. Its larger, stainless steel body and rubberized grip are of higher quality than the plastic finish of the Multigroom 3000. In addition, the Multigroom 7000 has more power, which lends to a smoother-feeling trim experience. We also appreciate the charging indicator light of the 7000, which is absent on the Multigroom 3000.

Now, yes, the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 is more affordable at around $20 on Amazon. However, the near $60 Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000, will net you a higher quality experience, with more precision capability for greater value overall.

At this higher price point, the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 fits more in line with the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus (model 9818), which is similar in specs and performance.  We’d have to say that the Multigroom 7000 and the Wahl are neck and neck, however, the Multigroom pulls ahead just a bit thanks to sharper blades, which leads to a smoother, easier trim.

For beard trimming, the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 provides a more precision trim. However, for haircuts, the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus had the advantage, as it includes more hair cutting guards in tighter increment settings.

Overall, as we mentioned at the top, we think the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 is an amazing product. This is a quality made trimmer that gets the job done. You can’t go wrong with the level of value at this price point and we definitely recommend picking one up and testing it out!

Do you think the hair attachment will actually cut hair, and cut it well?

Yes. Check out my DIY Haircutting Review for the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 seen here: DIY Haircutting Review Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000

Is the Multigroom 7000 safe for trimming the nether Regions?

For use on the nether regions, Philips Norelco recommends using one of their bodygroomers, which offer a more skin friendly option as opposed to going in with a sharp blade. If interested, the product they suggest is the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 seen here on Amazon and in my video review at: Philips Norelco Bodygroom.

is the foil shaver of the Multigroom 7000 good enough to use on my entire face?

When looking for a smooth feel and shaving down to the skin on the entire face, I suggest taking a look at my foil shaver video reviews. These include the following:

Braun Series 3 vs Remington F5-5800

Braun Series 9

Panasonic Arc 5 vs Braun Series 9

Andis ProFoi Foil Shaver vs Wahl Finale Five Star Series

can the blade be attached from Multigroom series 7000 to the Multigroom Series 5000?

According to Philips Norelco, they have indicated that these two devices blades are not interchangeable. The blades are unique to the individual device.

What's the difference between 7750 and 7715?

These trimmers are very similar in their appearance, however besides the difference in attachments (13 vs 23) and attachment types, there are differences in the performance of these trimmers. For instance, the MG7715 takes a 1 hour full charge for 120 minutes of use vs the 2 to 3 hours charge time for 300 min of use of the MG7750. Additionally, according to Philips, the MG7715 is waterproof and suitable for use in the bath and shower, while the MG7750 should not be used in the shower or bathing. As such, for safety reasons the MG7715 can only be used without the cord, while the MG7750 can be used with or without the cord.

GroomReviews Community Testimonials

Stumbled upon your channel when I was looking to replace my 5 year or so old shaver. I watched a few of your videos before I found a comment of yours on another one of your videos saying that this was your current favorite or at least one of your favorites (as of a few months ago). You do an excellent job reviewing and going over the proper pros and cons, which is exactly what I'm looking for. You also put a ton of time and effort into your videos which is great.Love what you're doing, you're a big help to guys (and girls) out there!
