Philips Bodygroom 7000 – A tool for below the neck line
Warmer days are on their way, which means less clothes, fun in the sun – and for some of us – body grooming. We all like to look great when it’s the season to show more skin – but how do you achieve that smooth, flawless look you’re going for?
In this week’s video, I’m testing out the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100, Model BG2040/49. Made for a fast trim and precision shave everywhere below the neck, I manscape and shave my chest hair while giving you my full review of this Norelco body groomer.
Top Amazon Groomer
For those of you looking for a body groomer, trimmer and shaver that’s sensitive on your skin, this body grooming tool has what you’re looking for.
The Philips Bodygroom 7000 is an Amazon Most Wished For trimmer and ranks at #5, 8, and 12 for the categories of Personal Groomers, Body Hair Groomers and Beard Trimmers, respectively.
FUNCTIONALITY
This Philips 7000 Bodygroom is designed for 5 zone body grooming, including the back and shoulders, chest and abs, underarms, groin area and legs.
At one end of this Philips 7000 series body groomer, you’ll find an integrated 32mm metal trimmer and adjustable comb with 5 length settings from 3mm to 11mm for trimming thicker body hair and maintaining longer lengths.
On the opposite end, lies the precision trimmer, with bi-directional trimmers to cut longer body hair, and a foil shaver for close shaving results. You’ll find this side works well when shaving chest hair for a closer finish.
3-D PIVOTING HEAD
According to Philips, the flexible 3D pivoting head contours to your bodies every angle and surface and the hypoallergenic shaver foil and rounded trimmer tips protect your skin while shaving.
Do note, however, Philips Norelco stresses that this trimmer is only intended for use below the neckline and is not meant for use on the beard and face.
BATTERY LIFE + POWER
As far as battery life, the Philips Norelco BodyGroom 7100 features a high-power Nickel-Metal Hydride battery and requires 1hr of charge time for 50 minutes of cordless use.
This bodygroomer, however, can only be charged in the charging stand and requires cordless operation for its use.
That said, the Philips 7100 Bodygroomer works in wet or dry operation, in or out of the shower and can be cleaned with the included brush or under the tap.
Of note, newer models of this Philips bodygroomer are available, Model BG7030 and BG7040, which incorporate a Lithium-Ion battery, and provide a longer run time experience.

Overall, if you are looking for a dedicated body groomer and manscaper that will trim and shave while being sensitive on your skin, the Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 7000 is the way to go.
With a dual sided trimming design and skin-friendly contour system, this Philips Bodygroom 7000 trimmer is well positioned around $70 to trim, shave and groom your body for success.
