Our History
Paul started GroomReviews back in 2012 with one simple goal: to help men find the best beard trimmer for their needs and show them exactly how to use it by demonstrating on his own face. What began as a few helpful videos quickly took on a life of its own as more and more people turned to GroomReviews for honest advice they could trust.
As GroomReviews grew and the comments poured in, we noticed something important. Men weren’t just looking for beard trimming tutorials—they were looking for ways to build their confidence. For many, that process starts right in front of the mirror each morning.
And it’s not just men who are on this journey. In fact, we had always assumed that building confidence via personal care was more of a women’s conversation. But what we’ve learned from engaging with our community is that both men and women share this struggle. Yes, the routines and products may differ, but at the core, we all want the same thing: to feel good about ourselves and to move through life with our heads held high.
